Sorry for the issue, it’s been reported by others as well. Our app is fully based on the web version of WhatsApp, and according to it seems like a global issue, but does not effect everyone. In our environment the issue can’t be reproduced.

We really hope it will be fixed soon on WhatsApp’s side, there is nothing we can do to fix it. We do not think the conversation history is lost, it seems like a display issue. We have contacted WhatsApp support, see their answer below.
